Obituary of Gary Dale McLeod, Sr.

Gary Dale McLeod, Sr., 57, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, October 10, 2016, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mr. McLeod was born on July 10, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Buel and Sheila (Kenny) McLeod. He had been a trimmer with Missouri Forge for almost 19 years and was a member of the 1980 Doniphan High School graduating class. Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends and spoiling his grandkids, nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed spending time at the family property with family and friends. On April 14, 1980, he married the love of his life, Diana Lynn Jackson in Doniphan and she survives. Also surviving are his mother, Sheila Ann McLeod; one son, Gary Dale McLeod II (Natosha) of Union Grove, Alabama; two sisters, Dorothy Allen (Charlie) of Oxly, Missouri, and Ladonna Christine Ingram (Bill) of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Noelle Reaves and Kayden Reaves; 15 nieces and nephews; and many, many great nieces and nephews. Mr. McLeod was preceded in death by his father, Buel; 2 brothers, John McLeod and David McLeod. Visitation will begin Friday evening, October 14, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
