Obituary of William Bryan Catlett

William “Bryan” Catlett, 75, of Grandin, Missouri, died Monday, October 10, 2016, at Riverways Manor in Van Buren, Missouri. Mr. Catlett, son of the late William Jennings Bryan and Dimple (Buffington) Catlett, was born May 31, 1941, in Booneville, Arkansas. He had been a heavy equipment operator for Royal Oaks Enterprise for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Catlett enjoyed fishing and riding the back roads and was of the Baptist faith. On June 30, 1962, he was married to Lucille Mae Townsend in Ellsinore, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 26, 2016. Surviving are 4 children: Lisa Evans, Angela Griffin and Raymond Catlett, all of Ellsinore and Laura Nance of Grandin; 3 sisters, Margaret Parcus, Demetra Rymer and Glenita Cooper, all of Ellsinore; 3 brothers, Samuel Catlett of Booneville, Arkansas, Albert Catlett of Silva, Missouri, and Phillip Catlett of Van Buren; 12 grandchildren, Joey, Corey, Shanah, Maycee, Austin, Cody, Cole, Dylan, Wesley, Hunter, Trace and Zane; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Catlett was also preceded in death by 1 son, William Patrick Catlett; and 5 brothers, Hubert Catlett, Arthur Catlett, Charles Catlett, Carl Catlett and Quincy Catlett. Visitation will start at noon Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Pete Joplin officiating. Burial will be in the Grandin City Cemetery.
