A.J. Duff, 82 year old resident of Oxly, MO died Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Duff was born December 8, 1933 in Maynard, AR to the late Andrew Jackson Duff and Alma Crowell Duff. A.J. had owned and operated A.J. Duff Welldrilling, and he had also worked as a machinist at Barber Coleman. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Mr. Duff enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved to play cards, loved listening to the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team on the radio, enjoyed attending auctions, and loved his cows. On July 5, 1957 he was married to the love of his life Mary Faye Cornell in Rockford, IL. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on September 11, 2010. Also preceding him in death were sisters, Rosalyn, Mabel, Ruth, Virginia; brothers, Siebert, Niles, Warren, and Rector. Surviving are 1 daughter, Debra Mae Tune and her husband Scott of Doniphan, MO; 2 sons, Danny Duff and his fiancée Patricia of Doniphan, MO; David Jay Duff and his wife Edna of Columbia, MO; 8 grandchildren, Julie, Hilary, Eric, Kendall, Dustin, Sarah, Kaytlyn, Danielle; 4 great-grandchildren, Evan, Dylan, Molly, and Max; and 1 brother, Garland (Jake) Duff of Corning, AR. Funeral services for Mr. Duff will be held Monday February 1, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Carr officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 2-5 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in the Ingram Cemetery.
