Jewel D. Weaver Jewel D. Weaver, 77, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, formerly of Fairdealing, Missouri, died March 11, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Weaver was born November 2, 1929, in Leachville, Arkansas. She had worked at Lucy Lee Hospital for 35 years as an LPN. She was a member of the Doniphan Church of Christ. On May 25, 1949, she was married to Vernon H. Weaver, Sr., in Leachville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2003. Surviving are three sons; Richard (and Rhonda) Weaver of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Larry (and Janie) Weaver of Tolar, Texas. and Vernon H. Weaver, Jr., of Corning, Arkansas; one daughter, Lydia Cobb of St. Charles, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; Liz, Joshua, Sarah, Tommy, Daniel, Darren, Lee, Aaron, Allen, Larry, Charlotte, Audra, Vernon III, Authur, Chrissy Ann; thirteen great-grandchildren; Makayla, Alicia, Haven, Morgan, Angelica, Sebastian, Abbie, Matthew, Jacob, Nicole, Melissa, Blake, Ryan; two brothers; Dub Nunnery of St. Charles, Missouri, and Buddy Nunnery of Rector, Arkansas; two sisters; Betty Keele, Marmaduke, Arkansas, and Patsy Stone, Rector, Arkansas. Also preceding her in death were her parents; Willey Nunnery and Lydia Smith Nunnery; stepmother, Maggie Nunnery; four brothers; Cornelus, Frayo and Billy Nunnery and Chester Weaver; three sisters; Louise and Francis Weaver and Hazel Horn; and one grandchild, Aaron Stevens. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, March 16, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Arnold Cemetery.
