William "Bill" Berry Corley III, 64, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Corley, son of William B. Corley Jr. and Dorothy M. (Stonesifer) Corley, was born June 12, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was self-employed as a horse rancher. Mr. Corley was a lifetime member of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association, the Foundation Foxtrotter Heritage Association, and was on the Board of Directors of the English Shepherd Club. He enjoyed raising English Shepherd dogs and raising and training Missouri Fox Trotter horses. He liked woodworking and music, especially playing drums, flute and the dulcimer. Bill attended the Handy Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married his wife, Gloria Moore Corley, on June 29, 2003, in Springfield, Missouri. She survives him. Also surviving are his father, William B. Corley Jr. of Hutchinson, Kansas; one stepson, Travis Abbott of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Renee Lippincott and her husband Dean of Sterling, Kansas; five nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends. His mother, Dorothy M. Corley and his sister, Deborah Gaughan preceded him in death. A private burial is being planned with internment in Bennett Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at the Handy Church on Saturday May 21, 2011, at noon. The Handy Church is located on the Handy Road off of C Highway.
