Nola Curfman, 99, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Curfman, daughter of William Sanford and Florence (Robb) Ponder, was born September 21, 1912, in Doniphan. She had been a timekeeper for R. C. Can Company. Mrs. Curfman was very faithful with St. John’s Baptist Church of St. Louis. She enjoyed crocheting, pottery and shopping.
She was initially married to Troy James Parrish on June 25, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri, and he died on October 2, 1973. In 1974 she married Merton D. Curfman in St. Louis and he preceded her in death on March 25, 2012.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two sisters, Mattie Moore and Ruth Parrish, and two brothers, Johney Ponder and Carl Ponder.
Visitation for Mrs. Curfman will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel and burial will be in Amity Cemetery.
