Elvin Ray Klepzig, 57, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Klepzig, son of Don Klepzig and Rose (Burrows) Klepzig, was born July 15, 1955, in Mountain View, Missouri. He was an over-the road truck driver. Mr. Klepzig enjoyed history, railroads, gardening, riding horses and he had a special love for animals. He was a member of the Missouri Pacific Historical Society.
On May 25, 1985, he was married to Patricia “Trish” Pennington at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Doniphan and she survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Rose Klepzig of Doniphan; one sister, Kathy Klepzig of Doniphan; two brothers, Bob Klepzig and John Klepzig and wife, Teresa, all of Doniphan; two brothers-in-law, Doug Pennington and wife, Valerie, of Chicago, Illinois, and Gary Pennington and wife, Liesa of Doniphan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Klepzig, and one sister, Donna Klepzig.
Visitation for Mr. Klepzig will be Friday evening, July 27, 2012, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will start at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, July 28, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home chapel with Brother Randy Miller officiating. A graveside service will follow at noon at Poca Hollow Cemetery near Van Buren, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to the Ripley County Museum.
